KOKORIKO

Location: Brickell, Miami
Status: Built (2012)
Size: 3,000 sq. ft. Restaurant

About the project: SOW Design was asked to design this new concept of a casual dinning experience for the popular South American franchise Kokoriko. To communicate a warm contemporary aesthetic of a rotisserie, reclaimed farmhouse wood, natural fiber lampshades, and hand woven wall screens intermingle to provide the South American franchise a fresh North American brand identity with a familiar feel. SOW Design combined industrial artists with state-of-the-art kitchen technology to develop an eco-centric concept restaurant for Kokoriko, in partnership with Richard Sandoval. The sustainable materials selected reflect the ethnic background of Colombia and its cuisine, while representing a vibrant and modern aesthetic and a sustainable mentality.
